As a continuation of our Premiering Potters series, please help us welcome visiting artist Kelly Potter to the store! Kelly Potter works with ceramics, oil painting, and sculpture/video mediums at her studio in Easthampton, MA. Her slab-built ceramic “critters” began as a playful investigation of clay and wood firing processes. Utilizing the spontaneity of the medium to foster playfulness and experimentation - her critters evolved to become not one species but many fuzed together. Each one channeling themes of awkwardness, dissociation, and bliss. Kelly’s work will be on display and available for purchase Sept. 1st through Sept. 30th at Pinch. Kelly herself will be in the store on Arts Night Out, Sept. 13th from 5-8pm for an opening reception. Wine and light snacks will be served!
