We seek sanctuary as a place to be ourselves, to pray, to release, to question, to rebel, to meditate, to mend, to make, to forgive, to grow, to rest.
SANCTUARY is a two-week exhibition, exploring the ways we find refuge in different ideas, places, and actions. The exhibition brings together the work of three artists working in three different mediums: Sharon Carty, in quilting arts; Joyce Maxner, in felted arts; and K. Paul M. in drawing, painting, and collage arts.
The gallery will be filled with color, image, quilts, sculptural work, and more, inviting the viewer to experience how santuracy for one may differ greatly for another—and the myriad ways we seek haven and harbor.
